The AS2-1211 pallet is suitable for the transport and storage of 12 propane gas cylinders of 11kg each, 12 propellant gas cylinders of 11kg each, or 20 cylinders of 5kg each. It was developed by us back in 1997 and has been used successfully ever since. The pallet is suitable for manual and automatic loading and unloading.
The base of the pallet consists of steel profiles which are arranged parallel to the loading direction and thus provide a smooth surface for the cylinders. The shorter edges of the base are made of special profiles, which simplify automatic loading due to their large radii, as the bottles cannot get caught on the edge.
There is a door on the shorter side of the pallet that enables the gas cylinders to be loaded and unloaded automatically. This door can be lifted and lowered both mechanically and manually. The door can also be completely unhinged.
Furthermore, access is possible via the longer sides of the pallet – for this purpose, the side limits are removed so that the pallet can be loaded and unloaded on the lorry regardless of the position of the pallet.
The flap and the back of our pallet are very thin and at the same time very stable thanks to a specially moulded hollow profile. This solution offers the advantage that the external dimensions of the pallet are small enough to accommodate two containers transverse to the direction of travel on a lorry. This means that eight 11kg bottles can be accommodated in the width of a lorry; the loading area must have the maximum permissible width of 2.55m in accordance with the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations.
The entire pallet is made of closed, cold-bent profiles; this allows for an extremely lightweight construction – while still maintaining the high rigidity of the pallet. The entire pallet is supplied in a hot-dip galvanised finish.
The pallet has been approved by TÜV Product Service and bears the GS mark. Several standards and directives have been observed, including the requirements of the ZH 1/428 directive of the employers’ liability insurance association.
